Nice character hotel in beautiful setting. Reception, Waiters were all very helpful and polite.
Having stayed here before we felt that the service has improved. The staff are very attentive and made us feel at home. The open log fires added to the luxurious yet cozy atmosphere.
Lovely room in a lovely location, we would be happy to recommend it highly. (We also checked out The Lord of the Manor in the next village for our next visit - miserable unwelcoming staff - do not stay there!)
Overly attentive staff and frequently pushing the three course dinner at £65 per head focusing on price not content. Garden needs some tlc.
Everything ... from its idyllic location in a beautiful Cotswold village (with NO traffic or noise) to its excellent rooms, service and everything else one can expect of a luxury hotel ... were it to be star-rated, them 5* would not be enough.
We only stayed 1 night and the 1 thing we found not to our satisfaction was that the Hotel was fully booked the following weekend and we were unable to extend our stay :-((
Everything about the stay was perfect, staff, room, food, location we will certainly go back.
Great location. Staff attentive. An up grade to a junior suite was excellent.
Evening meal was poor (quality and value for money)and breakfast not great . Would recommend but with a caveat regarding dining.
Exceptional Hotel Expensive but worth a treat if you want to spoil yourself Staff very freindly and professional Fab Location Would stay again
Not ideal for disabled or elderly as the restaurant is down some steep stairs
We booked Lower Slaughter as we had dined there before and I chose the venue as part of our celebrations for my Partners 60th Birthday. From the start of our arrival the service and reception was terrific. Our room was spectacular, both clean and comfortable overlooking the Gardens. The evening meal was as good as we have ever encountered and the Head waiter could not do enough for us.
There was nothing to dislike!!!
Lovely location and beautiful surrondings. Hotel is very nice and has been refurbished in a ver nice way.
The room was lovely, some of the staff were friendly others however found it hard to pull a smile, some of them however were quite friendly, I would not recommend to travel with kids to this hotel as they r not terribly child friendly. Their sister restaurant across the road is no good, I mentioned since it is the only alternative to Dining with kids in lower slaughters. I would return however with any children. I was very disappointed when I found out that I had to book to have high tea in the afternoon, no one told me when I enquirered, I found this ridiculous.
Great accommodation with superb service. Upgraded to a junior suite facing the front garden. Dinner was also excellent.
Minor stuff. Restaurant staff need some more training to serve at this great premises, particularly those in the morning. Scrambled egg was a little overdone. Bgm at the dining, American pops is not suitable to the great atmosphere. Better to have no music.
Comfortable eligance and charm.
The beautiful setting and character of the building. Its prime location in the Cotswolds. Charming and professional staff. Delicious and plentiful portions of food.
That our short stay was so short.
good service, good food, good locationand fine rooms.
poor facilitaes for smokers
I liked the location, and the charm of the manor! The large garden and the quaint church (with graves) behind the manor. The rooms are nice but creaky wooden floors under the carpet. The restaurant serves good food but eating once here is more than enough. The staff are really nice people! Beautiful country side hotel.
The shower has very low pressure for the hot water and even if the bathroom was really nice, it was a challenge to have a simple hot shower in cold evening or morning! Plumbing must be old despite the lovely and new bath apparatus!
